How to Get Rid of Deep Scratches from Your Solid Surface Countertop?

In some cases, solid surface countertops may suffer from severe scratches and look not good. You can repair it yourself by following the steps below:

Part One

1. Get a 3M Scotch-Brite® #7448 (ultra fine) pad and soak it  in clean water

2. Rub the scratched area circularly with a little pressure

3. Rinse the area with clean water and dry the surface

If the scraches haven’t been removed, repeat the steps above again.

Part Two

1. Get a 3M Scotch-Brite® #7445 (super fine) pad and soak it in clean water

2. Rub the previously sanded area circularly

3. Rinse the area with clean water and dry the surface

4. See if the rubbed area has been blended back to the entire surface. You may need to rub the entire surface to make the repaired area blended with the entire surface.

Sometimes, deep scratches on solid surface countertops may require you to use both a piece of sandpaper and an abrasive pad. The selection depends on the solid surface finish of your countertop.
